Nakitaan ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ng mabilis na inflation trend o pagmahal ng bilihin at serbisyo para sa buwan ng Hulyo.
Ayon sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng BSP na dahil sa sitwasyon sa nakalipas na mga linggo, maaaring pumalo ang inflation rate hanggang 4.7 percent.
Higit na mataas ito sa 4.1 percent na nai-record noong nakaraang Hunyo.
Ilan sa nakikitang rason ng ganitong development ang pagmahal ng domestic petroleum products at mga pangunahing food items.
May epekto rin ang umento sa sa singil sa kuryente at mababang halaga ng piso.
“The BSP projects July 2021 inflation to settle within the 3.9 – 4.7 percent range. Higher prices of domestic petroleum products and key food items along with the upward adjustment in Meralco electricity rates and a weaker peso are the main sources of upward price pressures for the month. Moving forward, the BSP will continue to monitor emerging price developments to ensure that its primary mandate of price stability conducive to balanced and sustainable economic growth is achieved,” saad pa ng mensahe mula sa BSP.
