Nilinaw ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque na wala pang 1-percent mula sa kabuuang datos ng COVID-19 sa bansa ang inconsistencies o hindi tugmang mga impormasyon na nasilip ng UP experts.
Dahil dito wala raw dapat ikabahala ang publiko kaugnay sa reporting ng DOH sa sitwasyon ng pandemic sa Pilipinas.
“We assure the public that the issues raised are less than 1-percent. Maliit pa sa isang porsyento of all the whole data set, and does not prejudice the overall interpretation of data and decision making. We continously rectify the data the moment we identify any issue.”
“Nevertheless, the DOH remains committed to transparency and we welcome feedback from expert community. Moving forward, for outmost transparency we will include more details on the specific roles that have changed from the previous day. Building and using new high quality data systems normally takes months of effort, while the crisis has demanded that existing systems be improved and scaled in real time.”
Nirorolyo na raw ngayon ng Health department, kasama ang World Health Organization country office dito ang isang digital epidemiological surveillance information system kung saan magiging automated ang pangongolekta ng mga datos.
Tatawagin itong “COVID KAYA,” at sa ilalim daw nito ay inaasahang mababawasan ang mga pagkakamali sa coding ng mga impormasyon.
Pinaiimbestigahan na ng DOH ang nasabing inconsistencies na pinuna ng University of the Philippines – Resilience Institute na sila ring COVID-19 Pandemic Response Team.
Batay daw sa inisyal na report ng kanilang Epidemiology Bureau, lumalabas na may mga pasyenteng hindi nagbibigay ng kumpletong impormasyon sa kanilang “case investigation form.”
“Minsan kasi ang nagiging struggle, hindi nakukumpleto yung pagsagot sa mga data required to fill up the case investigation form especially when the testing is done.”
