Balik sa higit 3,000 ang bilang ng mga nadagdag sa listahan ng mga tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas.
Batay sa inilabas na case bulletin ng Department of Health (DOH), 3,139 additional cases ang inireport ng mga laboratoryong nag-submit ng report kahapon.
Mayroon kasing 15 laboratoryo na bigo raw makapagpasa ng ulat sa COVID-19 Data Repository System. Ang total ngayon ng confirmed cases sa bansa ay nasa 351,750.
Pinakamaraming additional cases ang galing sa National Capital Region, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, at Iloilo. Ayon sa ahensya, 64% ng mga bagong kaso ang nag-positibo sa nakalipas na 14 na araw.
“Of the 3,139 reported cases today, 2,023 (64%) occurred within the recent 14 days (October 3 – October 16, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (621 or 31%), Region 4A (479 or 24%) and Region 6 (214 or 11%).”
Ang active cases naman ay nasa 50,354. Habang 786 ang nadagdag sa total recoveries na nasa 294,865 na. Samantalang 34 ang additional sa total deaths na 6,351.
“Of the 34 deaths, 17 occurred in October (50%), 9 in September (26%) 4 in August (12%) 3 in July (9%) and 1 in May (3%). Deaths were from CARAGA (7 or 21%), Region 6 (5 or 15%), Region 5 (4 or 12%), Region 3 (3 or 9%), Region 7 (3 or 9%), Region 12 (3 or 9%), Region 2 (2 or 6%), Region 4A (2 or 6%), Region 8 (1 or 3%), Region 10 (1 or 3%), Region 4B (1 or 3%), CAR (1 or 3%), and NCR (1 or 3%).”
Nagtanggal ang ahensya ng 87 duplicates sa total case count. Kabilang dito ang 74 na mula sa hanay ng recoveries.
“Moreover, 8 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.”
