Nakatakdang talakayin ng House of Representatives sa susunod na linggo ang panukalang P7.2-trillion national budget para sa taong 2027.
Kinumpirma ito ni Manila Representative Bienvenido Abante Jr kung saan itinakda ni Nueva Ecija Rep. Michaela Suansing, chairman ng House Committee on Appropriations sa araw ng Lunes, Agosto 17 ang pagdedebate ng nasabing usapin.
Ang nasabing anunsiyo ay halos isang linggo ng isinumite ni Budget Secretary Kim Robert De Leon ang panukalang budget sa House of Representatives noong Martes, Agosto 11.
Ang nasabing outlay ay naipresenta sa mga opisyal ng House of Representatives sa pamumuno ni Speaker Faustino Dy III at Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos ng Ilocos Norte.
Magsisimula ang deliberasyon sa gagawing briefing ng Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) ukol sa pagkukuhanan ng financing, expenditure levels at budget proposals ng mga departments, ahensiya at government owned and controlled corporation (GOCC).
Ang DBCC ay binubuo ng Department of Finance, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Department of Budget Management (DBM) at Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev).
Tiniyak ni Abante na ang proseso ng budget ay magiging transparent at dapat malaman ito ng publiko.
Base sa DBM na ang may pinakamalaking alokasyon ng panukalang 2027 budget ay ang Department of Education na mayroong P976 Bilyon, sinundan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na nagkakahalaga ng P644-B kabilang ang P100-B para sa flood control; Department of Health (DOH) at Philhealth na mayroong P353-B; Department of National Defense (DND) na may P328.8-B; Transport sector na mayroong P302.2-B; Dept. of Agriculture (DA) na mayroong P261.7-B; Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na mayroong P241.1-B; State Universities and College na mayroong P176.5-B at Judiciary na mayroong P86.3-B.
