Hinimok ni Veronica ‘Kitty’ Duterte ang Kataas-taasang Hukuman na resolbahin ang inihaing petisyon at maiuwi ng bansa ang kanyang ama na si former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Batay sa pahayag ng kanyang ‘legal counsel’, kinumpirma nito ang paghahain nila ng ‘Urgent Motion to Resolve and to Direct Respondents to Facilitate the Immediate Return of FPRRD’ sa Korte Suprema.
Kaugnay ang naturang mosyon sa petisyon kamakailan ni Kitty Duterte na ‘habeas corpus’ para sa kanyang tatay nang ito’y dalhin sa International Criminal Court.
Sa mosyon inihain, layon maresolba ang habeas corpus petitions na siyang di’ pa inaaksyunan ng Korte Suprema hanggang ngayon mula nang maisumite noong Marso.
Nais rin ng kanyang kampo na maibsan ang paghina sa kalusugan ni Duterte at pangambang siya’y mamatay sa kustodiya ng dayuhan.
“The Motion urges the Supreme Court to finally resolve the petitions to prevent further deterioration of FPRRD’s health, or his undignified death in foreign custody; to hold accountable those responsible for his illegal abduction and surrender to the ICC; and to forestall further violations of liberty without due process of law, including the imminent threat of repeat abuses against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa,” ani Salvador Paolo Panelo Jr, legal counsel ni Kitty Duterte.
Kung kaya’t nais nilang maresolba na ang petisyon at mapanagot ang mga responsable sa umano’y ilegal na pagdukot at pagsuko sa kanya ng bansa tungo International Tribunal.
