“At the national level, the headline inflation continued to move at a slower rate of 2.1 percent in May 2020, from 2.2 percent in April 2020. This brings the year-to-date inflation for 2020 at 2.5 percent. In May 2019, inflation was higher at 3.2 percent,” wika ni Mapa.

“The latest inflation outturn is consistent with the BSP’s prevailing assessment that inflation is expected to remain benign over the policy horizon due largely to the potential adverse impact of Covid-19 on the domestic and global economic environment,” saad ng abiso mula sa BSP.
