Kinumpirma ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na wala pang “warrant of arrest” na inilabas ang International criminal court laban sa mga co-accused ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kasong crime against humanity.
Sa isang panayam kay ES Bersamin kaniyang sinabi na hanggang sa ngayon wala silang natatanggap na warrant of arrest mula sa ICC na idinaan sa Interpol.
Itinanggi naman ni Bersamin na may sinabi siyang may warrant of arrest na laban sa iba pang akusado gaya ni Senator Bato Dela Rosa at iba pa.
Gayunpaman inihayag ni Bersamin sakaling may warrant of arrest ang ICC, aniya kaparehong proseso pa rin ang ipatupad ng gobyerno kahalintulad sa ginawang pag aresto kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Dutere.
” If there should be a warrant, we’ll probably do the same thing that we did in the case of former President, if the warrant is coursed through the Interpol because we continue to be a member interpol.We are not going to do things differently unles the Supreme Court in those pendin cases make a different announcement about how we shoud proceed,” pahayag ni ES Bersamin.
Binigyang-diin ni Bersamin na mayruon tayong batas na ipinasa ng Kongreso na nagpapahintulot sa gobyerno na isuko ang akusado na nahaharap sa kasong crimes against humanity at human rights o sundinang extraditon proceedings.
Muling biniyang-diin ni Bersamin na ang desisyon nuon ni Pangulong Marcos na isuko si ex-PRRD ay ang better option.
” Nothig discriminatory that we will ever undetake. We’re always clear about that,hindi kami politically motivated. All those attributions to us were unfair,” pahayag ni ES Bersamin.
