Kinumpirma ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na tinapos na nila ang imbestigasyon ng Senate committee on the whole kaugnay ng mga isyu ng korapsyon sa PhilHealth.
Ayon kay Sotto, sisimulan na nilang bumalangkas ng report ukol dito at bibigyan ng kopya si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at ang Office of the Ombudsman.
“I’m formulating the committee report soon. We are done with the Carousel of denials and lies!” wika ni Sotto.
Una nang sinabi ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson na maliligo ng kaso ang mga opisyal ng PhilHealth dahil sa mga kinasasangkutang isyu.
Sapat na rin daw ang mga nalikom nilang ebidensya para makasuhan ang mga taong nagpasasa sa pondo ng government health insurer.
“The evidence, supported by official documents and testimonies provided by resource persons who testified under oath so far gathered by the Senate Committee of the Whole during the three, weekly hearings, are sufficient enough to indict people responsible, directly or otherwise for the systematic corrupt practices and malevolent acts that have practically dragged the PhilHealth to its present financial deathbed,” pahayag ni Lacson.
Sa panig naman ni Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go, hindi umano kailangang magtapos lamang ito sa imbestigasyon, dahil kailangang may mapanagot sa mga katiwalian.
“Managot ang dapat managot. Ikulong ang dapat ikulong. We should get to the bottom of this deeply rooted and systemic corruption in PhilHealth,” ani Sen. Go.
