Inaabangan na ngayon ang paglaya ni US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton na kasalukuyang nakapiit sa Kampo Aguinaldo.
Ayon kay Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag, matapos nitong pirmahan ang release order ni Pemberton ay ipinadala na ito sa Joint United States Military Advisory Group (JUSMAG).
Sinabi ni Bantag na ibibigay ng BuCor at Department of National Defense (DND) personne ang pirmadong release order ng dating sundalo.
Sa isyu naman ng kustodiya, sinabi ni Bantag na hindi na ita-transfer sa kustodiya ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang sundalo habang nananatili sa kanyang piitan.
Una rito, kinumpirma ni Justice Sec. Menardo Guevarra na matatapos ngayong weekend ang buong proseso ng pagpapalaya at deportation kay Pemberton.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Guevarra na ang actual exit ni Pemberton ay magiging depende sa kanyang flight arrangements dahil ito ay isang US military personnel.
“The whole process of official release and deportation can be completed by the weekend. But the date of pemberton’s actual exit from the country depends on his flight arrangements, considering that he is a military personnel of the US,” ani Guevarra.
