Inatasan ng PNP (Philippine National Police) Joint Task Force COVID (Coronavirus Disease) Shield ang lahat ng mga police commanders na i-re-calibrate ang kanilang security and health safety measure strategies, ngayong nagsimula na ang pagbukas ng ekonomiya.
Matapos kasing luwagan ng IATF (Inter Agency Task Force) ang quarantine protocols, inaasahan na rin na dadami pa ang mga taong lalabas ng kanilang bahay lalo’t marami na ring mga negosyo ang magbubukas.
Ayon kay Joint Task Force (JTF) COVID-Shield Commander Lt. Gen. Guillero Eleazar, ang desisyon ng IATF ay bahagi ng economic recovery measures ng gobyerno sa kabila ng epekto na dulot ng pandemya.
“While a lot of industries were allowed to operate in the past months, there are only limited people who were able to avail of the goods and services because of the restrictions on the movement of the people. Our policy-makers deem it logical to allow more people to go out to avail of these goods and services because this is actually what the re-opening of the economy is really intended for,” ani Eleazar.
Aminado si Eleazar na ang pagluwag sa quarantine restrictions ay malaking hamon sa JTF COVID Shield lalo na sa implementasyon ng quarantine rules.
Giit ni Eleazar na dahil dito, mahalaga na magpatupad din ng adjustment ang mga pulis pero titiyakin pa rin ang proteksiyon ng publiko.
Sa desiyon ng IATF, maaari nang lumabas ng bahay ang mga may edad na 15 hanggang 65-anyos.
Maaari na rin bumiyahe sa ibang lugar ang mga indibidwal na hindi kabilang sa listahan ng Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) at exempted ang mga ito sa curfew.
Nilinaw naman ni Eleazar na nakadepende pa rin sa mga LGUs (local government unit) kung papaano nila ipatupad ang quarantine rules sa kani-kanilang mga lugar.
“The role of the LGUs is now very essential now that the restrictions were further eased. It is important then for our police commanders to initiate moves to maximize the use of force multipliers such as barangay tanods, security guards and the public order and safety personnel of the LGUs,” pahayag pa ng JTF COVID Shield commander.
