Dumating na ngayong umaga sa bansa si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. mula sa kaniyang anim na araw na working visit sa Amerika.
Bandang alas-6:30 kaninang umaga ng dumating ang Pangulo sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.
Sinalubong siya ni Vice President Sara Duterte na siyang naging caretaker ng bansa habang wala sa bansa ang Pangulo.
Kabilang sa mga sumalubong din sa Pangulo ay sina Armed Forces chief Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, Philippine Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Romeo Brawner Jr., Philippine Air Force Vice Commanding General Major General Arthur Cordura, Philippine Navy Vice Commander Rear Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia; Cabinet members; Pasay City Representative Antonino Calixto; at Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano.
Sa arrival speech ng Pangulo, kaniyang binigyang-diin ang kaniyang mga naging aktibidad at achievements ng kaniyang weeklong working visits sa US mula Sept. 18 hanggang Sept. 24,2022.
Ayon sa Pangulo, pagkadating niya sa Amerika ay agad itong nakipagkita sa Filipino community sa New Jersey.
“I thanked them for the work that they do and their contributions to the Philippines, the community, and the United States,” pahayag ng Pangulong Marcos.
Ang biyahe ng Pangulo sa US ay para magbigay ng talumpati sa 77th session ng United Nations General Assembly.
“I addressed global issues such as climate change, rising food prices, rapid technological change, the peaceful resolution of international disputes, the need to protect the vulnerable sectors of our society such as migrants, and ending all forms of prejudice,” wika ni Pang. Marcos Jr.
