Halos 130,000 na ang kabuuang bilang ng tinamaan ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH).
Sa case bulletin ng ahensya nitong araw, pumalo na sa 129,913 ang total ng confirmed cases dahil sa 3,109 cases na iniulat ng 82 mula sa 99 laboratoryo.
Pinakaraming nai-report na bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region na umabot sa 1,700. Sumunod ang Laguna na may 169, at Cebu na may 114 new cases.
“Of the 3,109 reported cases today, 2,055 (66%) occurred within the recent 14 days (July 27-August 9, 2020).”
Mula sa halos 130,000 total cases, may 59,970 pang aktibong kaso na nagpapagaling. Ang 91.2% sa kanila ay mild at 7.5% ang asymptomatic. Wala pa sa isang porsyento ang mga severe at kritikal.
Samantala, 654 na mga bagong gumaling ang iniulat din ng ahensya kaya ang total recoveries ay nasa 67, 673.
Habang 61 na bagong reported deaths ang iniulat. Ang total death toll ay 2,270.
“Of the 61 deaths, 17 (28%) in August, 34 (56%) in July, 6 (10%) in June, and 4 (7%) in May. Deaths were from Region 7 (36 or 59%), NCR (16 or 26%), Region 1 (3 or 5%), Region 9 (2 or 3%), Region 4A (2 or 3%), Region 8 (1 or 2%), and Region 6 (1 or 2%).”
“There were eighty-one (81) duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, seventy-eight (78) recovered cases have been removed. Moreover, twenty (20) cases that were previously reported to have recovered have been validated to have died and were included in the count of new deaths.”
