Aabot na sa P3.130 trillion o katumbas ng 85.5 percent ng P3.663 trillion obligation program para sa taong 2019 ang nailabas na ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa katapusan ng Hunyo.

Batay sa statement ng DBM, sa P3.130 trillion na nai-release, P1.882 trillion ay alokasyon sa line departments na kinabibilangan ng allotments para sa mga iba’t ibang ahensya sa Executive branch, Kongreso, Hudikatura at iba pang constitutional offices.

Ayon pa sa DBM, kabuuang P159.8 billion mula sa Special Purpose Funds (SPFs) ang nailabas na rin.

Ang Special Purpose Funds (SPFs) ay budgetary allocations sa General Appropriations Act na inilalaan sa partikular na socio-economic purposes gaya ng Budgetary Support to Government Corporations, Allocation to Local Government Units, Contingent Fund, Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund at Pension and Gratuity Fund.

“The immediate release of funds by the DBM will ensure that national government agencies are able to swiftly implement their programs and projects, such as the construction of new roads, schools, and hospitals, and the protection and promotion of the welfare of the poor and marginalized sectors, among others,” ani DBM.
