“There were 8 proponents who bidded. Now during in the middle of the post qualification, I have found out as chairman of the BAC that 3 of my men in the technical working group were asking money from the proponent. So I cause them to be relieved from their position as TWG, I displaced them but they were charged administratively for doing so kasi sabi ko nga sa kanila we are trying to prove that government procurement can be clean and here are you putting a very bad example and I promised to the members of the BAC that I will dismiss these 3 police majors and theya re undergoing now administrative proceedings I think within the month of November we will be coming up with their verdict but I am sure that they will be dismissed because this is also part of our anti-corruption campaign in connection of course with the President’s call for anti-corruption measures. So noong nagkaroon ng controversy na-hold ‘yong post qualification because I have to deal with it so anyway nagpatuloy yung post qualification with a new TWG,” pahayag pa ni Lt.Gen. Gamboa.
