Nasa halos 190,000 na ang kabuuang bilang ng COVID-19 cases sa Pilipinas, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH).
Batay sa case bulletin na inilabas ng DOH, pumalo na sa 189,601 ang total ng confirmed cases sa bansa dahil sa 2,378 na nadagdag sa listahan. Resulta ito ng submission ng 99 mula sa 109 na laboratoryo.
“Of the 2,378 reported cases today, 1,905(80%) occurred within the
recent 14 days (August 10-23, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (818 or 43%), Region 4A (331 or 17%) and Region 3 (153 or 8%).”
Ang bilang ng mga nagpapagaling pa, o active cases ay nasa 55,236.
Samantala, dahil sa patuloy na implementasyon ng Oplan Recovery, nakapagtala ang ahensya ng 16,459 na dagdag sa total ng mga gumaling.
May 32 rin nadagdag sa total deaths na ngayon nasa 2,998 na.
“Of the 32 deaths, 20 (62%) in August, 8 (25%) in July, 3 (9%) in June, and 1 (3%) in May. Deaths were from NCR (22 or 69%), Region 7 (4 or 12%), Region 5 (2 or 6%), Region 6 (1 or 3%), Region 4A (1 or 3%), Region 3 (1 or 3%), and CARAGA (1 or 3%).”
Ayon sa DOH, 26 na duplicates ang kanilang tinanggal mula sa total case count, kabilang na ang siyam na recovered cases.
“Moreover, four (4) cases that were previously reported to have
recovered have been validated to have died and already included in the count of new deaths.”
