Bumuo ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ng inter-agency task force para matugunan ang epekto ng oil spill sa Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.
Kaugnay nito nag-isyu si NDRRMC executive director and Civil Defense administrator Undersecretary Ariel Nepomuceno ng isang memorandum para sa paglikha ng nasabing task force.
Ito ang siyang magmomonitor sa developments at magpapatupad ng mga hakbang para ma-contain ang pagkalat ng oil spill at magsasagawa ng emergency response activities sa mga apektdong lugar.
Kabilang sa mga ahensiya na bubuo dito ay ang MIMAROPA offices ng Department of the Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Social Welfare and Development, at Department of Health.
Kasama ang Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Southern Tagalog District, Armed Forces of the Philippines Southern Luzon Command, at MIMAROPA local government units.
Papangunahan ito ni Office of Civil Defense MIMAROPA director Eugene Cabrera.
Nagsasagawa na rin ang PCG personnel ng shoreline assessment at nagpakalat na rin ng assets at equipment para ma-contain at marekober ang tumagas na langis.
