Umalis kagabi patungong Amerika si Vice President Leni Robredo para dumalo sa graduation ng bunsong anak na si Jillian na nag-aaral sa New York University, pagkakataon na rin ito para makapiling ang pamilya.
Ibinahagi ni Aika Robredo ang isang video kung saan makikita si VP Leni at ang mga kapatid nito na luna sa eroplano.
Sa kabila ng kaniyang biyahe, binigyang-diin ni VP Leni na kaniya pa rin pangungunahan ang ang paghahanda para sa launching ng Angat Buhay program, isang non-government organization na binubuo ng karamihan ay mga volunteers na tumulong sa kaniyang kampanya.
Dagdag pa ni VP Leni, na may paghahanda na rin ginagawa ngayon ang Office of the Vice President para sa opisyal na turn-over of office.

” My daughters and I are leaving for New York today to attend Jillian’s graduation. We will be gone for a few days to just spend time with family and take a well deserved rest before all of us restart the lives we have put on hold. This is the first time since my husband died in 2012 that we will be travelling again as a family with no work to take care of. We are sorry if we cannot accept the numerous requests for meet ups. We will do that some other time in the future. For now, we just need to spend as much time together.
I also have thousands of unread messages on my phone and emails I need to take care of. I am sorry if it is taking a while to answer everything. For urgent concerns, please make sure to contact my Chief of Staff, Usec Boyet Dy, who will be in charge of the office while I am on leave.
While I am away, I will still be on top of the preparations for the launch of Angat Buhay NGO. The entire OVP Family is making all the preparations for the official turnover of the office to the duly elected 15th Vice President.
