Nagnegatibo na sa COVID confirmatory swab test si Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.
Ito ay isang araw matapos na matanggap niya ang resulta na nagsasabing positibo siya sa coronavirus.
Ang muling pagpapa-swab test ay ginawa ng mambabatas dahil sa magkakaibang resulta na nakuha nito, ilang araw bago pa man ang pagbabalik sa sesyon ng Senado.
Sinabi ng Senate official na sa dalawang rapid test ay negatibo siya sa anti-bodies na nakikita kapag dinadapuan ng COVID-19, habang isang swab test result naman ang nagsasabing infected siya ng naturang sakit.
Ayon kay Zubiri, ilang eksperto ang nagpaliwanag sa kaniya na maaaring na-detect lamang sa pagsusuri ang dating virus na tumama sa kaniya noong mga nakalipas na buwan.
Matatandaang si Sen. Migz ang kauna-unahang senador na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 noong Marso, ngunit naka-recover agad makalipas ang ilang linggo.
“Thank you so much for the concern and prayers! I AM NEGATIVE.. Thank you to our Lord God above! My confirmatory test with the Philippine Redcross has come out and shows that i no longer have live RNA cells of Covid 19. What the Infectious Disease Experts have told us is that the DOH result yesterday possibly detected remnants of dead virus cells which is a common occurrence with recovered Patients. The PCR machines of the Philippine Redcross are state of the art and can detect live RNA and differentiate it from the dead pieces of the cells. Studies from Europe, Asia and the US have shown that recovered patients with antibodies are no longer infectious and if Covid cells are discovered in their system it is most likely remnants of the dead covid cells which can no longer contaminate as found in extensive studies in South Korea. Ibig sabihin nito ay hindi na po ito nakakahawa at ligtas po ang recovered patient habang meron pa po siyang Antibodies,” wika ni Zubiri.
Sa kabila nito, minabuti ng mambabatas na manatili muna sa self quarantine, hanggang sa mga susunod na araw.
“Nevertheless i will still quarantine myself for the rudimentary period just to be sure and i want to ensure everyone that i feel very well and healthy. I just want to thank each and everyone for the outpouring of support of all the messages and prayers that have uplifted my spirit and kept me emotionally, physically and Spiritually strong during this new challenge of mine. Maraming maraming Salamat po sa inyong lahat,” dagdag pa ng senador.
