PARIS – Inanunsyo ni French President Emmanuel Macron ang pagbuo ng isang panibagong national military space force command na magiging bahagi ng hukbong panghimpapawid ng kanilang bansa.
Ang naturang deklarasyon na ginawa sa bsiperas ng Bastille Day national celebrations ay kamukha ng inisyatibong pinangunahan ni US President Donald Trump.
“To assure the development and the reinforcement of our capacities in space, a high command for space will be created in September,” wika ni Macron.
Tinawag din ni Macron na “true national security issue” ang panibagong pokus ng militar.
Noong nakaraang taon nang sinabi ni Macron ang pangangailangan ng isang istratehiya para sa space defense, at ito na raw ang resulta.
“The new spatial and military doctrine that has been proposed to me by the (defence) ministry, which I have approved, will allow us to ensure our defence of space…,” dagdag nito.
“We will reinforce our knowledge of the situation in space, we will better protect our satellites, including in an active manner.”
Dagdag pa ni Macron, isisiwalat daw ni Defense Minister Florence Parly sa ibang petsa ang detalye ng pagpopondo sa nasabing proyekto. (AFP)
