Kinumpirma ng Department of Health (DOH) na 16 pang kaso ang panibagong nadagdag na mga nagpositibo dahil sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Dahil dito umabot na sa kabuuang 49 ang naitala sa Pilipinas.
Sa ginanap na press conference nitong hapon iniulat ni Health Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire na stable naman ang kondisyon ng walo sa mga bagong kaso na naka-confine sa iba’t ibang ospital sa bansa.
“As of today, PH25-PH28, PH30-PH33 are all in stable condition. PH29, a known contact of PH9, is intubated and has underlying cardiovascular and endocrine conditions.”

“DOH is continuously monitoring the statuses of all patients to ensure that no complications arise throughout their recovery.”
Sa ngayon puspusan pa rin daw ang ginagawang contact tracing ng DOH sa mga nakasalamuha ng mga pasyente.
“The DOH and deployed surveillance teams are now conducting extensive information-gathering and contact tracing activities on the new cases. DOH will provide further details as soon as the information is available.”
Samantala, inanunsiyo rin ng DOH na 442 mula sa 445 na mga repatriates na sakay at tripulante ng Diamond Princess cruise ship ang pinayagan na rin makalabas sa Athletes Village matapos ang 14-day quarantine kaninang umaga.
“Out of the 445 repatriates, 2 crew members (PH25 and PH26) tested positive for the disease and were immediately referred to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital (JBLMRH).”
