Tiniyak ng National Food Authority (NFA) na mayroong sapat na supply ng bigas sa mga lugar na apektado ng ashfall kasunod nang pag-alburuto ng Taal Volcano.
Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ni NFA Administrator Judy Carol Dansal na available ang 1,930,000 sako ng bigas sa Southern Luzon, 1,963,000 sako sa Central Luzon at 197,000 sako naman sa National Capital Region.
Iginiit ni Dansal na ligtas kainin ng tao ang mga bigas sa naturang mga lugar.
Samantala, inanunsyo rin ng NFA administrator na activatedna ang operation centers sa kanilang central at field offices magmula pa noong Linggo, at bukas din 24-oras.
“There are NFA employees who are on skeletal force in central and field offices and in warehouses, ready to serve the requirement of the (local government units) LGUs, (Department of Social Welfare and Development) DSWD and other relief agencies should they need rice for the ashfall victims,” ani Dansal.
Nabatid na nakataas pa rin sa ngayon ang Alert Level 4 sa Taal Volcano.
Nangangahulugan ito na anuman oras ay maari itong sumabog.
