Sisimulan na ng tanggapan ni Vice Pres. Leni Robredo ang pamamahagai ng personal protective equipment (PPE) sa mga health workers na nasa frontline service laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday, March 16, 2020, inspected the first batch of personal protective equipment (PPEs) her office will be distributing to health workers serving as frontliners against COVID-19.”
Nakipag-partner ang Office of the Vice Presidente (OVP) sa ilang delivery hailing companies para ihatid sa mga ospital at komunidad sa Metro Manila ang mga PPE.
“Through the help of Transportify and Ninjavan, the PPE sets will be delivered to hospitals and communities around Metro Manila, with priority to those attending to COVID-19 patients, patients under investigation (PUIs), and patients under monitoring (PUMs).”
Prayoridad daw nito ang mga nagta-trabaho na may close contact sa COVID-19 patients, patients under investigation at monitoring.
Umabot na sa halos P9-milyon ang nalikom na donasyon ng non-profit organization na Kaya Natin! movement sa nakalipas na mga araw.
Nagdagdag ding halos P6-milyong donasyon ang OVP para makapaghatid ng PPE sa higit 3,000 frontliners.
Pati na halos 6,000 food and care packaged sa kanilang mga pamilya.
“VP Leni’s office has allotted P5.995 million of its funds to help provide PPE sets for 1,000 frontliners for 15 days. A donation drive was also started by its Angat Buhay partner, Kaya Natin! Movement, which has so far raised P8.9 million, funds that will be used to provide PPE kits for 2,073 frontliners for 15 days, as well as 5,659 food and care packages for them and their families.”
