Philippine National Police (PNP) OIC Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa has a reminder to all overweight authorities as he embarked on a campaign against fat police officers.
Gamboa said there are punishments for police officers who won’t comply to maintain their Body Mass Index (BMI).
Overweight police officers will not be barred from attending schooling or other types of training that are required for promotions.
“You will be denied schooling until you comply with the BMI requirements,” he said at a press briefing yesterday at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Gamboa also insisted that there will be no exemption and everyone is obliged to comply.
This intensified weight loss is not only to help regain a positive image for PNP but also for their own wellness.
