The Department of Social Welfare and Development reported that over P2 billion worth of stockpiles and standby funds have been set aside for those affected by the recent typhoon Dodong, including the effects of the rains and flooding brought by the strengthened Habagat.

The said stockpile includes food and non-food items, which are prepositioned in different regions across the country.

Currently, the DSWD said that as many as 9,922 families or equivalent to 30,000 people were affected by the recent typhoon and continued heavy rains in large parts of the country.

The affected individuals are from different regions which include Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and National Capital Region (NCR).
