Pinuna ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) matapos umanong mabigo na magsumite ng liquidation report ng P10-milyon halaga ng gastos sa federalism information campaign noong 2018.
Batay sa annual audit report ng COA, nag-ugat ang pagkabigo ng DILG sa bigo ring pagsusumite ng Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) ng requirement na progress report at liquidation sa kagawaran.
Malinaw daw kasi ang nakasaad sa kasunduan ng dalawang ahensya na mula sa PCOO ay isusumite ng DILG ang ulat sa COA para sa audit.
Ito’y dahil PCOO rin ang magbibigay ng pondo sa Interior department.
“The bulk of the activities should have been completed as early as first quarter-end of 2019, considering that the effectivity of the MOA is May 31, 2019. Nevertheless, all the required liquidation and progress reports have yet to be submitted as of this writing.”
Inamin naman daw ng DILG na nag-follow up sila sa Communications Office pero hindi raw ito tumugon.
Ayon kay Interior Asec. Jonathan Malaya, na-late lang ng sumite ang PCOO dahil December 2018 pa lang ay naihanda na raw ng DILG ang audit report para sa COA.
