The Utah Jazz are supposed to be a rebuilding team but they are now the top team in the West with a 9-3 win-loss record after destroying the Los Angeles Lakers, 139-116.

Lauri Markkanen top scored the visiting Jazz with 23 points while Jordan Clarkson put up 22 points on five triples.

Utah broke the game wide open in the second half as they shot exceptionally well at 55.8 percent from the field.

They also hit 16 triples compared to only nine of LA.

Anthony Davis led the scoring for the LeBron James-less squad with 29 points while Russell Westbrook added 22 points as he continued to play off the bench.
