Sa botong 34–1 at walang abstention, iniutos ng House Committee on Justice ang pag-isyu ng subpoena sa Office of the Ombudsman upang kunin ang mga Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) ni Vice President Sara Duterte kaugnay ng alegasyon ng hindi maipaliwanag na yaman.
Inihain ni Manila Rep. Joel Chua ang mosyon upang makuha ang certified copies ng SALN ni Duterte para sa mga taong 2007–2013, 2016–2022, at 2022–2025, na sumasaklaw sa kanyang panunungkulan bilang alkalde ng Davao City at bise presidente.
“I move that we issue subpoena duces tecum to the Office of the Ombudsman for the issuance of the duly certified true copies of the [SALNs] of the Vice President Sara Zimmerman Duterte for the years 2022–2025 inclusive, 2007–2013 inclusive, and 2016–2022 inclusive,” pahayag ni Chua.
Tutol lamang si Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez sa mosyon, na nagbunsod ng botohan sa panel.
Ayon kay Justice panel chair Rep. Jinky Luistro, agad ipatutupad ang subpoena upang isumite ang mga nasabing dokumento.
Bahagi ito ng mas pinaigting na imbestigasyon ng komite upang matukoy kung may sapat na batayan para isulong ang kaso sa impeachment trial sa Senado.
