Wala naman daw nakikitang dahilan ang isang grupo ng mga ospital para manawagang palitan sa pwesto si Health Sec. Francisco Duque III.
Sa virtual meeting ng Department of Health (DOH), sinabi ni Philippine Hospital Association (PHA) president Dr. Jaime Almora na kuntento sila sa kung paano hinaharap ng gobyerno ang COVID-19 pandemic.
“We do conduct a survey on our members, and the message is there is no clamor for drastic change in the DOH.”
May 1,900 member hospitals ang PHA na nagpaabot daw ng suporta sa Health secretary.
Aminado ang grupo na may ilang problema pa rin silang hinaharap bilang frontliners, pero ito naman daw ay sa usapin lang ng personal protective equipment (PPE) supply.
“There are some hospitals who are yet to receive PPE sets, the small hospitals. But of course, you will never have enough PPE sets in trying to keep your people on guard, especially at the start of the rainy season when seasonal flu cases are expected to come in.”
Sa isang liham, nanawagan ang isa pang grupo ng mga ospital kay Pangulong Duterte na palitan na si Duque sa pwesto.
Ayon sa Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines, Inc. may mas angkop na opisyal ang dapat na nakaupo bilang Health secretary at chairperson ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
