CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 10 and Iligan City police station conducted a joint buy-bust operation at Erlinda Ville, Del Carmen, Iligan City on Sunday.
The PRRD drug listed personality was identified as Ceasar Ian Napoles, 39, driver and a resident of 4th East, Rosario Heights, Tubod, Iligan City.
Recovered from the suspect were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, P1,000 buy-bust money, coin purse, and a cellphone.
The authorities confiscated around P14,000 worth of shabu.
They also confirmed that Napoles was listed under President Duterte Drug List, level 1 category. It means that the suspect is not a drug lord but a notorious civilian drug pusher.
The joint buy-bust operation came after two months of surveillance and engagement of the said drug personality.
Police Brig. General Rafael lauded efforts exerted by ICPO and RDEU.
“We should never stop operating on illegal drugs until we will make the region a drug free. Even if we will be facing obstacles in the course of our operations, let’s make it as a challenge to work harder within the ambit of the law to fight against illegal drugs and support President Duterte in his war on drugs,” he said./ edited by Bombo Sol Marquez.
