Umabot na sa 245,143 ang kabuuang bilang ng COVID-19 cases sa Pilipinas matapos makapagtala ang Department of Health (DOH) ng 3,176 additional confirmed cases.
Ayon sa DOH, 105 lang mula sa 117 na laboratoryo ang nakapag-submit ng datos. Kabilang sa mga bigong makapag-report ng kanilang COVID-19 data ay ang:

- Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital
- The Doctors Hospiral Inc.
- Maria Reyna Xavier University Hospital
- Butuan Medical Center (GX)
- Amosup Seamen’s Hospital
- Hi-Precision Diagnostics QC
- Philippine Airport Diagnostic Laboratory
- Safeguard DNA Diagnostics
“Of the 3,176 reported cases today, 2,793 (88%) occurred within the recent 14 days (August 27 – September 9, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (1,142 or 41%), Region 4A (730 or 26%) and Region 3 (238 or 9%). Of the 70 deaths, 49 occurred in September (70%), 10 in August (14%) 7 in July (10%) 3 in June (4%) and 1 in April (1%).”
Samantala nasa 55,614 pa ang bilang ng active cases o mga nagpapagaling.
Ang total recoveries naman ay nasa 185,543 na dahil sa additional na 376. Habang 70 ang dagdag sa total deaths na ngayon ay nasahalos 4,000 o 3,986.
There were 20 duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, 9 recovered cases have been removed.
Moreover, there were two (2) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths.
