Inamin ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) na may ilang unibersidad at kolehiyo ang hindi pa rin nakakatanggap ng kanilang reimbursements sa Free Higher Education (FHE) program.
Sa isang statement, sinabi ng ahensya na ito ay bunsod ng hindi pa rin kumpletong mga requirements ng ilang state universities and colleges (SUCs) at local universities and colleges (LUCs).
“CHED has the responsibility to protect the utilization of public funds,” ani CHED chairman Prospero De Vera III.
Kamakailan nang kwestyunin ng ilang mambabatas sa Kamara ang tila delayed na pagbibigay ng reimbursement ng CHED.
Tugon ni De Vera sa budget hearing, kulang ng pwersa ang komisyon para mag-proseso ng mga dokumento. Ang ibang paaralan ay hindi rin daw talaga nakakatanggap ng reimbursement dahil hindi sila sumusunod sa requirements.
Katunayan, mismong mga faculty pa raw ng ilang SUCs ang hindi naglalakad ng mga papeles.
“If some public universities do not comply with government requirements, or worse, claim reimbursement of fees not allowed under RA10931, then CHED will not download the funds to them,” dagdag ng opisyal statement.
Sa ngayon, 112 SUCs at 103 LUCs na raw ang nabayaran ng CHED parsa 1st semester ng academic year 2019-2020. Nasa 80% din 215 public higher education institutions ang bayad na ng ahensya para sa 2nd semester ng taon.
Pero may 40 SUCs ad LUCs ang hindi pa nakakatanggap ng reimbursement sa tuition at miscellaneous fees ng academic year 2019-2020 second semester, dahil sa late submission ng mga dokumento at billing requirements.
Habang 12 mga paaralan ang hindi nakakapag-submit ng kompletong requirements. Kabilang dito ang:

- University of Southern Mindanao
- San Pascual Polytechnic College
- Taguig City University
- Maasin City College
- Makilala Institute of Science and Technology
- Sulu State College
- Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology
- Technological University of the Philippines
- Gov. Alfonso D. Tan College
- San Jose Community College
