Naglabas na rin ng guidelines ang Transport officials kaugnay ng ipapatupad na community quarantine sa Metro Manila dahil sa pandemic na coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Humarap sa isang press briefing nitong hapon ang mga opisyal mula sa mga ahensyang nasa ilalim ng Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Ipinaliwanag nila ang mga panuntunan at measures na ipapatupad sa transportation sector alinsunod sa social distancing protocol.

Sakop nito ang mga sasakyang sa kalsada, himpapawid, dagat, at maging ang sistema ng tren.

Ayon kay DOTr Usec. Artemio Tuazon Jr., mahigpit na pagbabawalan pumasok ng Metro Manila ang mga matandang edad 60-anyos pataas, may sakit at buntis.

Nakita kasi ng DOH ang tila trend ng karamihan sa mga nag-positibo sa COVID-19 na mga senior citizen.

“Restrict the non-essential entry of people to the contained areas, especially persons who are at high risk of being infected i.e. those 60 years old and above, those who are immunocompromised or co-morbidities and pregnant women, except: (1) health workers (2) authorized government officials (3) those travelling for humanitarian reasons, (4) persons transiting to airport for travel abroad, (5) persons providing basic services and public utilities, and (6) essential skeletal workforce,” batay sa guidelines.

“Prevent the non-essential exit of people out of the contained area, except: (1) health workers (2) authorized government officials (3) those travelling for humanitarian reasons (4) those who were granted entry based on the above-mentioned provisions.”
