Tumanggi munang magbigay ng komento ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) kasunod ng pagkaka-aresto kay dating DFA Sec. Perfecto Yasay Jr. kaugnay ng kasong isinampa ng ahensya noon.
Aminado ang BSP na bunga ng kanilang criminal case na inihain sa Department of Justice ang pagkaka-aresto kay Yasay.
Gayundin na dulot ng naging utos ng Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 10.
“The service of the warrant of arrest against Perfecto Yasay, Jr. is a consequence of the filing of criminal “informations” by the Department of Justice before the court,” ayon sa BSP.
“A judge issued the said warrant pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of Court. The Bangko Sentral will not issue any comment as the matter is pending before the court and to do so would violate ‘sub judicerule’.”
Sa ngayon hahayaan daw muna ng BSP na korte ang humawak ng mga kaso bago sila magbigay ng konkretong statement.
Paglabag sa General Banking Law at New Central Bank Act ang hinaharap ni Yasay kasama ang apat na dating opisyal ng Banco Filipino.
Una ng sinabi ni Yasay na inosente sya sa kaso dahil hindi pa ito umuupo bilang opisyal ng bangko nang mangyari ang krimen.
