Agad na nakipagpagkita kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa Malacañang ang bagong talaga na US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Loss Carlson upang magpresenta ng kanyang credentials.
Kung maalala kagabi lamang dumating sa bansa si Carlson para sa kanyang panibagong tour of duty makaraang italaga ni US President Joe Biden.
Sa kanyang talumpati, binigyang diin ni Carlson na lalo siyang naging inspirado sa pagtungo sa Pilipinas upang palakasin pa ang partnership ng dalawang bansa.
Liban kay Pangulong Marcos, naging bahagi rin sa simpleng okasyon sa Palasyo sina U.S. Embassy Political Counselor Brett Blackshaw, DFA Undersecretary Antonio Morales, Aubrey Carlson, Chief of Presidential Protocol Undersecretary Adelio Angelito Cruz, at U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Heather Variava.
Kung maalala mula noong nakaraang taon, pansamantala munang naging pointman ng Amerika sa kanilang embahada sa Pilipinas si Variava.
