Naniniwala si House Speaker Martin Romualdez na ang pagtatalaga kina Gilberto Teodoro bilang Defense secretary at Teodoro Herbosa bilang Health secretary ay lalong magpapalakas sa gabinete ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos.
Ayon kay Speaker, malawak ang karanasan ng dalawang opisyal kayat malaki ang magiging kontribusyon ng mga ito sa Marcos administration.
“They are welcome additions to the President’s immediate official family. Their wealth of experience and knowledge in defense and health strengthen the Marcos Cabinet. Their appointments also mean that the President “is bent on finding the best and the brightest to join him in serving our people,” pahayag ni Speaker Romualdez.
Binigyang-diin ni Speaker na kapwa maalam sa kanilang respective fields sina Teodoro at Herbosa.
“I think that most importantly, they will bring a civilian perspective to the defense and health sectors,” he added.
Si Teodoro ay dati ng kalihim ng defense department at kinatawan ng Tarlac.
Ang ama ni Teodoro na si Gilberto Teodoro Sr., ang siyang Social Security System administrator sa panahon ng Marcos Senior administration na ama ni Pang. Bongbong Marcos.
Habang si Herbosa ay dating health secretary at ilang taon din na opisyal ng Philippine General Hospital.
