Inirekominda ng isang kongresista sa liderato ng Kamara na ipatawag sa isang pagdinig ang mga implementors ng Bayanihan to Heal as One Act ilang buwan matapos na ipinasa ang naturang batas.
Sinabi ni Deputy Majority Leader Bernadette Herrera na dapat humarap ang mga ito sa Joint Congressional Oversight Committee dahil hindi aniya sapat ang written reports lamang.
Mahalaga aniya ito lalo pa at nais ng Malacañang na palawigin ng tatlo pang buwan ang Bayanihan to Heal as One Act para maipagpatuloy ang pagpapahatid gn cash aid sa mga mahihirap na pamilyang Pilipino at special risk allowances sa mga health workers.
Bukod dito, sinabi ni Herrera na dapat malaman din mismo ng Kongreso mula sa mga implementers ng batas at COVID-19 response agencies at kalagayan ng publiko sa gitna ng pandemya bago ang nakatakdang State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa darating na Hulyo 26.
“Personally, I am worried about the health of our country now, more than ever. The results of COVID-19 testing show the quarantine measures are not completely containing the spread of the coronavirus,” ani Herrera.
“Although the death toll has subsided and there are much fewer critical cases and severe cases, we still have thousands of new confirmed cases every week. The curative side is working, but the preventive dimension is full of holes,” dagdag pa nito.
