Maaari na muling gamitin ng pamahalaan ang locally-developed test kits sa COVID-19 matapos pumasa ang ikalawang version nito na sumailalim sa panibagong proseso ng Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) at Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Ayon sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST), naaprubahan na ng RITM at nang Committee on Laboratory Expert Panel ang bagong version ng GenAmplify COVID-19 Test Kit.
“With the endorsement of RITM, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a certification on the validity and reliability of the kit,” ayon sa report ng DOST.
“Distribution of new kits under the project to selected recipient hospitals and testing centers will be continued.”
