Positibo ang Amerika na magkakaroon ng magandang resulta ang ongoing talks sa pagitan ng US at Pilipinas kaugnay sa Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA).

Ayon kay US Charge d’ Affairs Mr. John Law, umaasa silang magbubunga ng maganda ang pag-uusap dahil mahalaga ang visiting forces agreement sa dalawang bansa lalo na ang military partnership.

Magugunita na sinuspinde ni Pang. Rodrigo Duterte ang pagbasura sa VFA.

” I think as we have always said we welome the opportunities to continue our conversations with Philippine officials with all aspects of bilateral partnerships that includes Visiting Forces Agreement, as I assumed everybody here is aware from the time after Pres. Duterte announcement and later his decision to suspend the termination, and both sides have been in continous talks on about how to best move forward those talks continue, Im always optimistic because I think its value in Visiting Forces Agreement because its value in the military partnership between our two countries, so I dont want to get out ahead of the two sides has been talking, I am always optimistic that we would going to see positive results from that,” pahayag ni US Charge d’ Affaires John Law.

Siniguro din ng US Official na suportado nila ang stand ng Pilipinas kaugnay sa isyu sa West Philippine Sea kaugnay sa Chinese intrusion.

Tiniyak din ng Amerika ang kanilang tulong sa Pilipinas na kanilang kaalyadong bansa.

Magpapatuloy din ang US sa kanilang isinasagawang freedom of navigation sa South China Sea o West Phl Sea.

” In terms in the recent events in the South China Sea, one senior officials of my government have said we in one with the Philippine government officials including Secretary Lorenzana for the stance have taken on the issue, we support the Philippines position, the arbitration ruling is clear, we stand by with our Philippine allies and we support the rules based order in the West Philippine Sea,” wika ni Law.
