Madadaanan na simula ngayong araw ng mga motoristang nabiyahe papunta at pabalik ng Southern Luzon ang underpass ng Manila South Diversion Road sa bahagi ng Lucena City, Quezon.

Nitong araw nang pangunahan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang pagbubukas ng alternatibong dan sa mga motorisa naiipit sa traffic ng Daang Maharlika.

Nagkakahalaga ng P245-milyon ang proyekto na target serbisyuhan ang 70-porsyento ng mga mga motorista.

Pinondohan ang proyekto sa ilalim ng national budget noong 2017 at 2018.

“At least 70% of motorists that will traverse the intersection will benefit from the completion of this project. The remaining 30%, on the other hand, is expected to pass through the service road,” ani DPWH Sec. Mark Villar.
