LONDON – Nagbabala ang Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) ng United Kingdom sa mga indibidwal na sensitibo sa allergies na iwasan muna ang pag-konsidera sa COVID-19 vaccine ng Pfizer-BioNTech.
Pahayag ito ng ahensya matapos makapagtala ng “adverse effects” o hindi magandang reaksyon ang bakuna sa dalawang tao na nabigyan ng naturukan ng nasabing COVID-19 vaccine.
“As is common with new vaccines the MHRA (regulator) have advised on a precautionary basis that people with a significant history of allergic reactions do not receive this vaccination, after two people with a history of significant allergic reactions responded adversely yesterday,” ani National Health Service medical director Stephen Powis.
“Last evening, we were looking at two case reports of allergic reactions. We know from the very extensive clinical trials that this wasn’t a feature,” ayon naman kay MHRA chief executive June Raine.
Nagpapagaling na ang dalawang nabigyan ng Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine na napaulat na nagka-adverse effect.
Handa naman daw ang mga kompanya na makipagtulungan sa imbestigasyon ng MHRA. Ayon sa pharmaceutical firms, tinanggal nila sa listahan ng participants ng kanilang Phase 3 clinical trials ang mga indibidwal na sensitibo sa allergic reaction.
