The Philippine Embassy reported that two Filipino citizens were killed in the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6.
The embassy released a statement saying, “It is with deepest regret that the Embassy must inform the public of the passing of two Filipinos, both earlier reported to be missing in Antakya,”
The embassy did not give any details regarding the fatalities but did state that it was already in contact with the families of the victims in Turkey and the Philippines along with the consulate general.
Esewhere, a Filipino who had previously been reported missing was discovered to be alive, according to the embassy.
