“While there will be problems that will arise as with any transition, what is important is that we all work together to identify gaps quickly and to address them as best as we can,” ani Atty. Barry Gutierrez, tagapagsalita ng Office of the Vice President (OVP).
“She has also started to implement her own initiatives on education, foremost being the Bayanihan E-Skwela program.”
“A component of this project provides training videos for teachers and parents to aid in transitioning to online learning, while another provides electronic gadgets for school use to children who have none.”
Nitong araw, humarap si Robredo sa virtual celebration ng National at World Teacher’s Day ng DepEd Region V. Binanggit niya sa kanyang address ang sakripisyo at kailangang tulong ng mga guro ngayon.
“Teachers are risking their life and limb, exposing themselves to virus. They even use money out of their pocket for bond papers and printers for printing the modules. Kasama ito sa buhay maestra, but this is so unfair,” ani VP Leni.
“Swerte iyong iba kasi they are under proactive LGU, but not everyone is similarly situated,” dagdag ng bise presidente.
“We really need to adopt, speed up, scale up because this is the future. If we don’t act now, we could continue to fall behind, leaving our teachers and learners struggling.”
“I wish I had more resources, I wish I had more mandate para matulungan kayo, pero with what little we have, handang-handa po kami pagaanin ang dala-dala ninyo.”
