Long day, long night, monitoring trapped residents, extreme flooding, cries for help. Everyone is saying there was too much rain, the typhoon hovered for too long and Ulysses was unexpectedly strong.

“Spent the entire night answering calls for rescue in Bicol. Many people trapped by floodwaters inside their houses. Complaints that they were not warned enough. Same thing is happening here now -Marikina, Rizal, etc,” ani Robredo sa kanyang Twitter account.

Crowdsourcing for rubber boats which can be lent to LGUs overwhelmed with calls for rescue.

“All calls for rescue are noted and sent to the different rescue teams. Thank you to Mayor Fresnedi of Muntinlupa for offering to lend their two rubber boats. We’re looking for more who can lend.”
“Ongoing rescue operations now at Marigold and Estrella Heights. Pa forward lang po sa mga nagpaabot ng requests from here kanina.”
[A] Update from our team: Rescued already with the help of Army and Air Force personnel. Patient brought to barangay hall, provided with oxygen before transport to hospital. https://t.co/hJvVCSdVbz
