Kinumpirma ni Executive Sec. (ES) Salvador Medialdea na tinanggap na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagbibitiw ng kontrobersyal na director-general ng Public Information Agency (PIA) na si Harold Clavite.
Sinabi ni Sec. Medialdea na batay sa July 17, 2019 letter ni Clavite, inihayag nito ang intensyong magsumite ng “irrevocable” resignation kay Pangulong Duterte dahil sa personal na rason.
Ayon kay Sec. Medialdea, iniakyat kay Pangulong Duterte ang liham ni Clavite at kanyang tinanggap ang kanyang pagbibitiw.
Kinikilala naman daw nila ang tatlong taong paninilbihan ni Clavite sa gobyerno at hangad nila tagumpay nito sa papasuking bagong misyon o career.
“Mr. Harold Clavite in his letter dated 17 July 2019 manifested his intention to submit his irrevocable resignation to the President citing personal reasons. He also said that he already gave 3 yrs to the country and its time for him to go back to his family. This was elevated to the President and thereafter accepted,” ani Sec. Medialdea.
“We recognize the service Mr. Clavite has rendered and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
