Pinuri ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga inisyatibo at istratehiya ng PNP (Philippine National Police) para matuldukan na ang mahigit limang dekadang problema sa communist insurgency.
Bahagi ito ng pahayag ng pangulo na nagsilbing keynote speaker at guest of honor sa inilunsad na Global Coalition of Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers ng PNP nitong Biyernes sa Camp Crame.
Si Pangulong Duterte rin ang nag-administer sa oathtaking ceremony ng mga lider ng nasabing grupo.
Layon ng global coalition international at local organizations na magkaroon ng multi-sectoral efforts para mapalakas pa ang collaborative partnership ng komunidad, security sector at ng pamahalaan, lalo na sa kampanya laban sa communist insurgency, illegal drugs, extremist terrorism at disaster mitigation.
Malaki kasing kontribusyon ito sa layunin at adhikain ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF ELCAC).
Sa nasabing aktibidad, iprinisinta ni PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar kay Digong ang 11 leaders ng international at local organizations.
Ito ay ang mga sumusunod: Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo, National Coalition of Information Technology Advocates for Change (NCITAC), Joint Industrial Peace Concerns Office/Alliance for Industrial Peace Program (JIPCO/AIPP), KALIGKASAN, International And Local Help Desk, Global Peace Community Relations, Anti-Crime Community and Emergency Response Team (ACCERT), Association of Chiefs of Police of the Philippines Inc.; Affiliated NGOs (ACPPIAN), Foreign National Keepers Network (FNKN), Project JUANA (MAGDALENA Mission), Brgy Based Organization, at Faith Based Organizations.
“Ako po ay nagagalak at nagpapasalamat na pinaunlakan ng ating Pangulo, Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte, na pasinayaan ang pagbuo ng pambansa at pandaigdigang koalisyon ng Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Supporters and Grassroot Force Multipliers na inilunsad ng Philippine National Police upang mapalakas ang tiwala ng ordinaryong mamamayan sa ating pamahalaan at maging katulong natin sa pagtataguyod at pagpapalakas ng demokratikong sistema ng gobyerno,” wika ni Eleazar.
Sa mensahe pa ng Pangulo, kinilala nito ang mga naging effort at suporta ng multi-sectoral groups kaya naniniwala na sa pamamagitan ng ginawa ng PNP ay madali na ang koordinasyon lalo na kanilang law enforcement operations partikular sa kampanya laban sa illegal drugs, insurgency, terrorism at implementasyon ng health protocols.
Samantala sa panig ng PNP chief, itong mga strategic measures kasama ang ilang proyekto at programa ay makakatulong aniya para mapabuti pa ang buhay ng Sambayanang Filipino.
“The use of firepower alone is not the ultimate solution to end this problem. What is needed is to present a better ideology to deny them the opportunity to recruit and eventually win the hearts and mind not only of the members of the CPP-NPA but also of those who are included in their support system in the grassroots,” pahayag ni Eleazar.
Binuo ng PNP ang global coalition of organizations hindi lamang dito sa bansa, kundi pati sa abroad.
