Pinuna ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) dahil sa labis umanong paggastos ng tanggapan para ipaayos ang ilang outdated na motorsiklo.
Batay sa 2018 COA report, lumabas na umabot sa halos P4.7-milyon ang nagastos ng CHR para sa repair at maintenance ng ilang outdated motor vehicles.
Ito ay sa kabila ng mandatong minimum 30-percent na gastos para sa repair ng mga gamit ng gobyerno.
Bukod dito, pinuna din ng state auditors ang mababang value ng mga motor na pina-repair ng CHR dahil karamihan daw dito ito ay sa pagitan ng 1988 at 2010 natanggap ng ahensya.
“The COA also subscribed to the norm that upon determination that the vehicles already fully depreciated as beyond economical repair which have high probability that estimated cost of repair if to be incurred would be put to waste as it can be expected that in a short period of time the repaired vehicles would break down, thus necessitating another repair,†nakasaad sa report.
“Under these circumstances, repairs become both unnecessary and excessive.â€
Agad namang tumugon ang tanggapan sa rekomendasyon ng COA na tutukan ang monitoring sa pagpapa-repair ng mga gamit ng gobyerno.
