The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has formally reported that it reviewed and classified a total of 149,033 film and television materials from January to October 2025.

Of this number, 106,771 were television programs, 39,188 were television plugs and trailers, 1,436 were publicity and optical media materials, 1,062 were movie trailers, and 576 were films, both local and foreign.

Each submission underwent a rigorous evaluation and classification process to ensure that all materials conform to prevailing Filipino cultural values and comply with the Agency’s regulatory standards.

MTRCB Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Lala Sotto commended the Board’s commitment and professionalism in achieving this milestone. “We take pride in the diligence and professionalism of our Board, who ensure that every material presented to the public is safe and age-appropriate. This accomplishment reflects not only the Board’s efficiency but also our collective advocacy to protect viewers, particularly Filipino children, while empowering parents to make informed viewing choices,” Sotto stated.

The MTRCB reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to balancing creative freedom with public welfare, emphasizing its role in fostering a media environment that both respects artistic expression and safeguards Filipino audiences.
