Ngayong araw na manunungkukan si Major General Ramiro Manuel Rey bilang bagong commander ng Northern Luzon Command o NOLCOM.
Ang turnover ceremony ay isinagawa kaninang alas-9:00 ng umaga sa NOLCOM Headquarters sa Camp Aquino, Tarlac City, na pangungunahan ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief Of Staff General Benjamin Madrigal.
Papalitan ni M/Gen. Rey si outgoing NOLCOM commander Lt. General Emmanuel Salamat.
Si Salamat ay miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1985 at mistah ni chief of staff.
Habang si Rey ang commander ng AFP Special Operations Command na nakabase sa Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija, at naging commander ng Special Forces Regimen (airborne).
Naging tanyag si Rey noong panahon ng Marawi seige bilang commander ng Joint Task Group Ranao.
Miyembro siya ng PMA “Hinirang” Class of 1987.
Samantala, uupo naman bilang bagong commander ng Southern Luzon Command o SOLCOM si dating 11th Infantry Division at Joint Task Force Sulu commander B/Gen. Divino Rey Pabayo kapalit ni M/Gen. Rey.
