Pinayuhan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang lahat ng higher education institutions sa Luzon na ikonsidera ang mas accessible na arrangement para maka-comply pa rin sa requirements ang mga estudyante sa kolehiyo.
Sa isang statement sinabi CHED chairman Prospero de Vera III na may natanggap siyang reklamo mula sa ilang estudyante na nahihirapan sa online o distance learning mode.
Bunga daw kasi ito ng mahinang internet connection, at pagpapatupad ng home quarantine.
“HEIs must exercise leniency and help the students during these difficult times. CHED is monitoring the situation and will take the necessat corrective actions if HEIs do not act accordingly.”
“There are other alternative modes. When the government shifted to Code Red 2 and enhanced quarantine for the whole of Luzon it included requirements to stay at home and restrictions on access to transporation.”
“This has resulted in students who are at home but have no or poor internet access, and they cant go to internet shops because these are closed or there is no transportation.”
Sa ilalim ng CHED Advisory No. 3 noong March 11, pinayuhan ng tanggapan ang mga unibersidad at kolehiyo na sundin ang ilang guidelines alinsunod sa resolusyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force.
