Nagsampa ngayong umaga ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Cagayan de Oro City ng criminal complaint sa Department of Justice (DOJ) laban sa Timber Wood Development Corporation.
Kabilang din sa mga sinampahan ng kaso ang mga responsableng corporate officers na sina President Ting-Pi Huang, Chief Finance Officer Chiu Liang Su, Corporate Secretary Ma. Sharon L. Remo, Christian M. Tong at Nenito P. Palan dahil sa Unlawful Pursuit of Business, kabiguang maghain ng Excise Tax Returns, Unlawful Possession o Removal of Articles Subject to Excise Tax without Payment of the Tax at unlawful Possession of Spurious Internal Revenue Stamps na paglabag sa Sections 236, 130 263 at 265 ng National Internal Revenue Code.
Aabot sa P118 million ang hindi nabayaran ng kumpanya sa taong 2018.
Nakarehistro ang Timber Wood na organisadong korporasyon na may office address na Mohon, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental na nag-e-export, bumibili at nagtitinda ng troso.
Pero sa validation ng Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 98- Cagayan de Oro City, plywood
manufacturing pala ang negosyo ng korporasyon na hindi rehistrado bilang excise taxpayer.
